The Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) is a French-speaking university in Brussels, Belgium, with about 20,000 students. Quater of the students comes from abroad which creates multicultural institution with seven faculties and a range of schools and institutes.  
 
The ULB was one of the main founders of the Network of Universities from Capitals of Europe UNICA. It is involved in several international programmes for research and development and for mobility. In addition, the university is globally recognised as a major research centre.
